Duties
* Provide full range of professional injury screening and prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to maximize Soldier performance and improve unit readiness.
* Perform physical therapy professional duties requiring an advanced practical knowledge of physical therapy skills, evidence-based practice, data collection and reporting as part of the H2F team.
* Plan and organize professional injury screening and prevention.
* Research, analyze, and report on injury control and program effectiveness.
* Advise Commanders and Directors on the development and implementation of strength and endurance programming and execution.
* Participate on the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) team to coordinate the rehabilitation or wellness activities of individual or groups of Solders. Requirements Conditions of employment
* You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
* Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
* One year trial/probationary period may be required.
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* A non-critical sensitive, Secret Personnel Security Investigation is required
* This position is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations. Applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to sign a statement consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
* Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
* All Health Care Providers must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification that is sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA).
* Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
* A pre-placement medical examination is required.
* This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
* Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
* You may be expected to travel up to 25% of the time for this position.
* Moderate to heavy lifting up to 15 pounds is required.
* This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
* May require a government cell phone and be required to be in an On-Call status after hours and weekends.
* Position is designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations. Additional information about transcripts is . Basic Requirements for Physical Therapist (Holistic Health and Fitness):
Degree: A graduate (or higher level) degree that included a physical therapy curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a professional accrediting organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained, and completion of the clinical requirements prescribed by the school.
Licensure/Certification :
Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physical Therapist from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; and must have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).Exemption:
You are exempt from the basic requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0633 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before.
