Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – LTAC, Cordova, Alaska. Travel - Temporary Assignment in a hospital-based rehab department. Start date 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay  per week with guaranteed 36 hours. Shift: 5x8 days. Housing is provided and the rehab team includes PT, OT, and SLPA. This assignment involves working in an inpatient rehabilitation setting within a hospital, with a focus on coordination of care and patient mobility in a multidisciplinary environment.

• Provide physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist for patients in LTAC, focusing on gait training, therapeutic exercises, range of motion, strength, and functional mobility.
• Assist with activity of daily living training and discharge planning in collaboration with the PT, OT, and SLPA teams.
• Monitor patient response to treatment, document progress notes, and communicate changes in patient status to the supervising PT.
• Maintain equipment, ensure infection control practices, and adhere to safety and documentation standards in a hospital rehab setting.
• Participate in team rounds and family/patient education as appropriate, contributing to treatment plans and goal setting.
• Support a high-quality patient experience through effective communication, professionalism, and adherence to department policies.

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Alaska or eligibility for licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
• Ability to work in a hospital-based rehab department with a PT/OT/SLPA team
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or LTAC settings preferred
• Willingness to work the 5x8 day shift with guaranteed hours in a 13-week assignment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills; ability to manage a varied caseload in a fast-paced environment
