City of Unalaska's Fire Department seeks motivated volunteers to serve their remote island community. The department is an all-hazards unit with 5 full-time staff and about 25 volunteers, and functions as the first and last line of defense against disasters.
Volunteers respond to emergency medical, fire, or rescue calls, perform exterior fire ground tasks, support inspections and equipment maintenance, and take part in ongoing training to stay current with state guidelines.
