Front Desk Receptionist Coastal Health Primary Care – Fleming Island, FLCoastal Health is seeking a friendly, professional, and patient-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing primary care team in Fleming Island. As the first point of contact for our patients, this role is essential in creating a welcoming and positive experience while ensuring efficient office operations.

Position Summary The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing incoming calls, verifying insurance information, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner

Answer and direct incoming phone calls

Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments

Check patients in and out for appointments

Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations

Collect copays and process patient payments

Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system

Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff

Assist with administrative duties and office operations as needed

Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous medical office or front desk experience preferred

Knowledge of insurance verification and medical scheduling preferred

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus Strong communication and customer service skills

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Professional appearance and demeanor
