Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for our Clay location located in Fleming Island. This is a full-time, night shift opportunity.
At Baptist Health, a Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with respiratory or breathing disorders. This role involves administering respiratory therapy treatments, performing diagnostic pulmonary function tests, managing and monitoring mechanical ventilators, and providing patient education and respiratory care support. The Respiratory Therapist collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.

Job Responsibilities:
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders
- Administering respiratory therapies
- Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients who require respiratory support
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Providing patient education and support on proper breathing techniques, medication usage, and lifestyle changes
- Maintaining accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation
Certificate Required
Associate of Science Preferred
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Required – FL DOH
One of the below is required within 6 months of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Experience in Neonatal
- Experience in Pediatrics
- Respiratory Therapy Experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – AHA
- Driver's License – DMV
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – AHA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – NBRC
- Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – DOH
