The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Position Summary:Answers scheduling telephones. Schedules, cancels or reschedules patient appointments using the Scheduling Guidelines or routes the calls to appropriate department or party in a professional manner. Assists the Case Management Team in various office duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience:

One year experience in a position that requires dealing with the public preferred. Previous switchboard experience preferred. Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

License, Certification, Registration:
None required

Equipment/Tools:
Computer, Multiline telephone system, copy/print/scan machine and other general office equipment.

Specialized Knowledge and

Skills:

Able to communicate with easy medical terms for patients. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Yup’ik speaker preferred.
