Description

The Senior Mental Health Counselor is responsible for providing counseling, education, and case management to clients as a member of a multidisciplinary Palliative Care team. The role also includes leadership and mentoring duties to support and promote growth and quality for clients and caregivers. The counselor demonstrates advanced clinical skills, serves as a resource for other clinicians, and exemplifies Providence Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling, education, and case management to clients in palliative care.
• Lead and mentor other clinicians and caregivers within the multidisciplinary team.
• Assist leadership in developing and maintaining program processes and group curriculum.
• Serve as a resource for clinical staff and model professional conduct.

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related health field.
• Basic Life Support certification (Facility Managed).
• At least 5 years of clinical experience.
