POSITION
SUMMARY
Responsible
for providing assessment, evaluation, education, counseling, treatment
planning, referral, and behavioral health services for individuals who require
services due to behavioral health and substance use related issues. This
position is required to support Itinerant Behavioral Health, Prevention and
Support services through coordination, communication and local input with local
and regional agencies to promote healthy lifestyles. Receives supervision and
reports directly to the Substance Treatment Supervisor or designee.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Behavioral Health Aide Trainee:
High School diploma or equivalent. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds. Familiar with the local community. Alaska driver's license within six (6) months of hire with a good enough driving record to be covered by Maniilaq Association Vehicle insurance is preferred. - Behavioral Health Aide Certification within 2 years of hire.
- Behavioral Health Aide I:
Meets the requirements of a BHA Trainee above PLUS, a certification as a BHA I. - Behavioral Health Aide II:
Meets the requirements above, and has been certified as a BHA II. - Behavioral Health Aide III:
Meets the requirements of all of the above PLUS, has been certified as a BHA III. - Behavioral Health Aide Practitioner:
Meets the requirements of a BHA III, above PLUS, has been certified as a BHA/P.
