The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers—the Kuskokwim and Yukon.

Position Summary:
Provides primary (acute, chronic and preventive) health care and emergency care to those seeking health services at the village clinic.

Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or completion of GED preferred.
- Must demonstrate ability to read, write and perform math at the 6th grade level although 8th grade level is preferred.
- Positive work history.
- Must be nominated by Traditional or IRA Council of the village that he/she will be providing service.
- Must attend Health Aide Sessions I, II, III, IV to become a certified CHP.
- Must be certified ETT or EMT.
- If rehired, must be certified and meet YKHC re-entry guidelines.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and email.
- Must be proficient with RPMS and Telehealth within 3 months of hire.
- Mathematical skills:
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. - Language skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. - May be tasked to be a Lead Health Aide.
