Position Overview:
The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (W2) will provide high-quality mental health counseling services to clients in a supportive and therapeutic environment. The LPC will assess clients' needs, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to promote emotional well-being and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Licensed Professional Counselors conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine clients’ mental health needs.
- Licensed Professional Counselors develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments and client goals.
- LPCs provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing various therapeutic modalities.
- LPCs maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions and progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to support client care.
- Stay current with best practices in mental health counseling and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Uphold ethical and legal standards in counseling practice and client confidentiality.
- Acting Clinical Supervisor on Saturdays for the Outpatient clinic; individual supervision with therapists as assigned.
- Reviewing and approving clinical documentation for the IBHS department as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Current LPC license in the state of practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
- Experience with various therapeutic techniques (e.g., CBT, DBT, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a clinical setting or with specific populations (e.g., adolescents, trauma, substance abuse).
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
