Please note this position is 3.5 hours per week Wednesdays 10:00 AM-1:30 PM only. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Support Staff to provide personalized care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autistic adults, in community-based and in-home settings. The ideal candidate will support individuals with daily activities, ensure their safety, and encourage independence while maintaining a respectful and nurturing environment.

This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse support needs. Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care is highly valued. All positions are paid and require a commitment to providing exceptional, person-centered support.

• Encourage and support individuals in developing independence with daily routines and life skills
• Provide guidance and supervision during in-home and community-based activities
• Observe and report changes in an individual's behavior, progress, or overall well-being to appropriate team members
• Promote community engagement, socialization, and participation in meaningful activities
• Provide companionship and emotional support to build confidence and self-advocacy skills
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment during all services
• Assist individuals with mobility or transfers as needed using approved techniques or assistive devices
• Accurately document services provided, progress, and observations in compliance with agency and program guidelines
• Transport individuals from their homes to community locations to support independence, appointments, and community involvement
• Follow all agency protocols and provide individualized support tailored to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities

• Prior experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  , including autism, preferred
• Experience working with autistic adults or individuals with intellectual disabilities is a plus
• Strong communication skills and patience when working with diverse populations
• Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in community-based settings
• Must have a reliable, insured personal vehicle suitable for transporting individuals
• Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely transport individuals to and from their homes and community locations
• Willingness to use personal vehicle for work-related travel in accordance with agency policies
