Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages the daily operations of the events services, and all front of house employees in the absence of the F&B FOH Operations Manager.
• Provides strong leadership capabilities.
• Works closely with staff in an efficient, courteous and dedicated manner to ensure that guests’ expectations are exceeded.
• Provides quality service and enhances the guest experience while following the company’s policies and procedures.
• Supervises the day-to-day activities of front of house employees and Events Manager.
• In coordination with the F&B FOH Operations Manager, is responsible for maintaining reasonable Food and Beverage costs, and reasonable labor costs in the dining room, in keeping with the Lodge budget and guidelines.
• Trains Events Manager on essential job functions.
• Works with Events Manager on set up and staffing of banquets and weddings.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with other departments; supports the team to reach common goals.
• Works with F&B Admin to coordinate and collect payments from clients after completion of events.
• Assists in successful onboarding, training, and off‑boarding of seasonal staff.
• Oversees Events Manager in maintaining, printing, and distributing banquet event orders on a daily/weekly basis.
• Assists with group manifest and updating event calendar.

• Arrives to work on time, ready to work, dressed in a clean uniform, with a neat and clean appearance.
• Well‑organized and self‑directed; able to develop methods of facilitating operating efficiency, cost and control.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and to prepare and submit comprehensive reports.
• Works effectively under pressure and able to meet deadlines while maintaining composure.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work, make decisions, solve problems, exercise good judgment and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor; able to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff, affiliated company employees and outside business associates.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential information.
• Proficiency in the use of computers, F&B software, databases, reservation systems and property management systems.

Compensation for this role is set at $65,000 annually. Complimentary lodging, food stipend during operational months, and operational incentive bonus available.
