Job Summary:

We are seeking a Front of House (FOH) Manager to lead the daily operations of our busy, guest-focused restaurant at tAKo Alaskan Cantina. The FOH Manager oversees all front-of-house functions, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, smooth service, and alignment with Northern Hospitality Group’s “Gold Standard” of hospitality. This position works closely with the General Manager and Back-of-House leadership to drive operational excellence, uphold company culture, and develop a strong, high-performing team.

This is a salaried leadership position ideal for a hands-on, experienced hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads with consistency, mentorship, and operational precision.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Shift Execution

Oversee opening, mid, and closing shifts with full accountability for FOH operations.

Manage daily service flow, staffing levels, cleanliness, and organization.

Exercise discretion and independent judgment in zone management and service pacing.

Identify and resolve operational challenges quickly while maintaining guest satisfaction.

Guest Experience Leadership

Uphold the “Gold Standard” of hospitality by modeling exceptional service and professionalism.

Manage guest relations, feedback, and recovery with empathy and efficiency.

Support servers, bartenders, and hosts in exceeding guest expectations at every interaction.

Hire, train, coach, and develop FOH team members.

Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and positivity.

Implement ongoing training and professional development programs.

Participate in performance reviews and recognition initiatives.

Operational Management

Manage inventories, deliveries, and vendor relationships; review and record invoices.

Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.

Partner with BOH leadership to maintain consistency between kitchen and floor operations.

Implement company initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and profitability.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience in a high-volume restaurant.

Strong understanding of POS systems, labor management, and service standards.

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Must have or obtain current TAPS and Alaska Food Handler or Serv Safe certifications.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Full-time salaried position; salary commensurate with experience.
