SPECIALIST; CRYSTAL REPORT
DEPARTMENTWORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
OBJECTIVEMaintain, create, and modify new and existing SAP Crystal Reports report files for use with Workforce Development’s Tribal Assistance Software (TAS). Administer the Crystal Reports program and identify opportunities for process improvements, updates, and expanded functionality. Assist with information gathering, report generation, and data entry audits to ensure accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE –
RequiredHigh School Diploma, demonstrated basic computer skills and familiarity with remote access and support platforms.
PreferredUndergraduate degree or certification in database management or related field(s) with 2 years work experience in report design, database management, or technical support. Substitutions: BBNA may consider any equivalent combination of education, experience, and cultural knowledge. BBNA also reserves the right to waive non-essential requirements in order to select the candidate who best fits the needs of the organization.
SKILLS & ABILITIESFamiliarity with remote access and support platforms, data entry concepts and data stewardship. Ability to adhere to a set work schedule while maintaining attendance. Ability to carry out primary duties with minimal supervision, a strong work ethic, with a desire for learning and the ability to teach others. Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to pursue project goals and meet deadlines while working individually or as a team.
Excellent documentation skills will be required to record modifications, creation, or permissions changes to report files. Familiarity with Bristol Bay area, people, cultures, and the unique challenges of service delivery in remote Alaska.
Advanced knowledge of data entry programs, Windows 10/11 platforms, Remote Desktop Protocol, Remote Desktop Web Services, Microsoft Office applications, SAP software, SQL database management programs, Google Workspace, or Atlassian software is highly valued. Due to the nature of this position, the CR Support Specialist will utilize various technology platforms for communication, training, and support. This includes Microsoft Office 365 webmail, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Go To Assist remote support, and other platforms as required.
OTHERREQUIREMENTS
The CR Support Specialist will be required to exhibit a high degree of ethical behavior, as this position regularly interacts with sensitive data within the TAS system. Attendance of virtual and/or in-person training classes related to the TAS and Crystal Reports programs as prescribed by Eaglesun Systems Products, Inc. will be required.
JOB RESULTS Maintain and support Crystal Reports program by- SAP Crystal Reports 2016, Eaglesun’s Report Manager, and TAS will be the primary programs utilized by this position. The CR Support Specialist will administer these programs by applying organization-specific settings, security updates, permission changes, and upgrades as they become available.
- Working closely with WFD staff, CDD staff, and Eaglesun Systems Products, Inc. to design, maintain, and implement Crystal Reports report files for standalone or embedded use within the TAS program.
- Report files will be generated via TAS’s ODBC-connected SQL database tables. Crystal syntax, HTML, and other programming languages may be utilized to format the contents of these files to staff’s specific needs.
- Periodically update report files and audit for accuracy, which will be dependent upon project-specific requirements or an established maintenance schedule.
- Use of a template for report file naming conventions, descriptions, and support contact information.
- Cross-train with the TAS application and FTANF reporting procedures, which are essential to the Workforce Development Department’s daily workflows and reporting obligations.
