We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Database Analyst in the Professional Services industry, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Database Analyst will play a pivotal role in transforming complex data into actionable insights, supporting data-driven decision‑making within our team. This role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams and requires advanced expertise in Power BI.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to cater to business needs.
- Manage and create paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder or other reporting tools, ensuring they are optimized and meet user needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for Power BI solutions.
- Refine Power BI queries and datasets for performance and efficiency.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reports and dashboards.
- Work with IT and data engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of data sources into Power BI.
- Present data findings to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive reports and dashboards that provide clear, concise, and timely insights.
- Leverage your skills in Microsoft Power BI and Data Queries to optimize our data analysis and reporting processes.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Database Analyst or a similar role in the IT department.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI is a must.
- Strong knowledge in writing data queries.
- Demonstrated understanding of relational databases.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Experience in database design and data analysis.
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools.
