Compensation

Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. The annual base pay range for this position is $135,000 - $150,000
.

Employees are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and telemedicine benefits. Employees receive company‑paid basic life and AD&D insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, and can enroll in the company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan.

Employees accrue 0.0654 hours of PTO per hour worked up to a maximum of 136 hours per calendar year. They receive six paid holidays annually and up to four paid floating holidays per calendar year.

We are looking for a Data Scientist with expertise in predictive modeling, time series analysis, and optimization techniques to support our dynamic pricing initiatives. The role involves building and refining models to predict parking demand and optimizing pricing for commercial lots and hotel parking facilities. You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deliver actionable insights and improve parking management efficiency across multiple locations.

• Develop ML models to forecast parking demand (20%)
• Build and optimize dynamic pricing models that adjust prices based on predicted demand and other relevant factors (20%)
• Implement machine learning algorithms and statistical models to predict demand accurately (20%)
• Analyze historical data and market trends to identify patterns and inform pricing strategies (10%)
• Work closely with product teams and business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and help shape business decisions (5%)
• Monitor and evaluate model performance over time, making improvements as needed (10%)
• Communicate findings and insights through clear and compelling data visualizations and reports (10%)
• Stay up to date with industry best practices in data science and machine learning (5%)

• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, economics, engineering, or a related field.
• Work Experience
  : 3+ years of professional experience in data science or a related role, with a strong emphasis on predictive modeling and optimization.
• Knowledge & Skills
  :
  Solid experience with machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, time series forecasting) and statistical techniques; proficiency in Python (or R) and SQL; strong knowledge of data manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools; experience with cloud computing platforms (Azure, Snowflake, AWS, GCP) and data storage solutions (SQL, No
  
  SQL); excellent communication skills and ability to present technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders; strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively; experience building Streamlit or Shiny apps.
• Preferred Skills (not required):
  Experience with A/B testing and experimentation; ability to write production‑ready code; experience building and deploying dynamic pricing models in production.

Authority to Act:
Job is relatively routine. The incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with specific direction and work is frequently checked or verified. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

Budget Responsibility:
The employee has control over resources available only.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must talk or hear regularly, sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle objects, reach with hands, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Lifting Requirements:
Exert up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 25 lbs frequently, or >10 lbs constantly to move objects.

Working Environment:
Majority of work will be performed in a climate‑controlled environment, but may be exposed to inclement weather and varying temperatures on occasion.

Travel:
Up to 20% travel may be required.
