Responsibilities- Apply advanced data exploration tools and methods to deliver insights and actionable recommendations to the business.
- Use predictive analytics to forecast future outcomes in various contexts.
- Decipher and apply data in complex studies, and clarify findings for business audiences to drive product and process improvement.
- May support or lead the development of data-driven business initiatives or IP.
- Execute statistical and quantitative analyses to inform business direction.
- Create and utilize mathematical models and predictive modeling techniques to assess situations and anticipate future results.
- Apply rigorous logical and statistical approaches to dissect large datasets, using advanced statistical techniques such as predictive models, customer profiling, organizational analysis, A/B testing, and data mining.
- Report projects including business goals, data acquisition and handling, planning approaches, final analyses, detailed arrangement of results, and statistical measurements.
- Create materials to interpret business findings.
- Resolve issues and impediments as they arise.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and managers to trade complex data related to assigned projects.
- Plan and present the understanding of findings to internal stakeholders.
- Four‑year bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, mathematics, or finance with at least 2 years of experience in a data role OR a four‑year bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, computational, or specialized discipline with 2 years of experience in a data role.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Experience in data science, advanced analysis, or statistics to clean data, perform analyses, interpret data, and present insights to business audiences.
- Knowledge of open‑source data science and analytics stacks such as Python, R, and others.
- Experience building and maintaining key relationships with internal (teams, colleagues, initiatives) and external (community, clients, vendors) stakeholders to ensure quality data and delivery standards.
- Experience breaking down and translating data to uncover issues, patterns, or anomalies for performance improvement and solution discovery.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (in-state and out-of-state).
- Graduate degree in statistics, data science, mathematics, or finance.
