Job Description
Title Attorney - Houston, San Antonio, or Midland, TX
A growing energy-focused law firm is seeking an experienced Title Attorney to join their team in Texas. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience preparing oil and gas title opinions and is ready to provide expert-level support in upstream oil and gas matters. This is a highly specialized role requiring consistent experience with title work and strong technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review detailed oil and gas title opinions
- Conduct research and analysis on property ownership, leases, and mineral rights
- Advise clients on complex title issues related to upstream oil and gas properties
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Manage multiple projects independently with precision and attention to detail
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in Texas
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience preparing oil and gas title opinions
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
