Seasonal (April - September 2026 in Hoonah, Alaska) Salary Range: $19.00 plus bonus potential

Keeps all public facilities in a neat and clean condition. Public area attendant promotes a positive image of the site to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems.

• Cleans interior of buildings, outside site spaces and restrooms.
• Empties ashtrays and urns.
• Cut wood and keep fires going on site.
• Polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Keeps the front of the building and site free from trash.
• Washes walls and ceilings, moves and arranges furniture.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Dust and polishes metal work.
• Perform daily assigned tasks in toilets, buildings, trash, sites, etc.
• Clean and maintain all equipment daily.
• To follow up a special cleaning program.
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor immediately.
• Assist Guests in Public Areas when required.
• Have good knowledge of all facilities, hours of operation, Restaurants, shops and function rooms.
• Post caution signs as and when required.
• Responsible to follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Responsible for upkeep of all the equipment which he is using i.e., Vacuum cleaner, trolleys, Scrubbing machine.
• Responsible for maintaining a time schedule for cleaning of their areas.
• Responsible for spring/winter cleaning of their area as per the schedule is given to them.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.

• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.
• Must be able to swing an ax and cut wood.
• Ability to communicate in English to our associates and guests.
• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Ability to work in an unheated building.
• Willing to live in a remote, rural community.
• Comfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from a remote setting.
• Able to walk and/or drive on gravel roads in inclement weather.
• In Season, the hours can be extended.
