Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic City Administrator to lead our municipal operations and foster community growth. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily management of city departments, implement long-term strategic plans, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to residents. Responsibilities
Provide visionary leadership by setting strategic goals and ensuring their effective execution across all city departments
Oversee municipal operations, including public safety, infrastructure, finance, and community services, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
Manage the city’s budget, including profit & loss responsibilities, to optimize resource allocation and fiscal health
Supervise department heads and staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and accountability
Develop and implement business development initiatives to attract new investments, enhance economic vitality, and promote community prosperity
Lead process improvement projects aimed at increasing operational efficiency and service delivery excellence
Coordinate with elected officials, community stakeholders, and regional partners to advance city priorities and projects
Qualifications
Proven management experience with a strong background in strategic planning, leadership, and supervising teams is desired
Demonstrated success in business development, project management, and process improvement initiatives
Knowledge of financial management principles related to profit & loss oversight in a municipal setting
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively
Experience in sales or promoting economic growth is highly desirable
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field; advanced degrees are preferred
