Summary: The Surimi Lead positions lead processing lines dedicated to surimi production. This department is equipped with specialized machinery and equipment for processing fish into surimi.
Note:
Surimi Lead II residing in Trident housing will be subject to a co‑pay of fifteen dollars per day for room and board, for each day that at least 8 hours of work is offered.

- Assists lead technician in overseeing the surimi production.
- Independently operate and troubleshoot processing machinery for surimi production.
- Trains and guides entry‑level technicians on standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Monitors and maintains production parameters to achieve optimal product quality.
- Manages paperwork relevant to surimi production.
- Performs quality control checks on the surimi product during production.
- Collaborates with the Quality Control team to conduct thorough inspections and analyze data.
- Assists with inventory management and ordering of raw materials such as cryo, sugar & packaging.
- Knowledge of dismantling, cleaning, and assembling machinery during clean ups in a safe manner.
- Handles chemicals in accordance with proper safety clean up procedures during clean ups.
- Cleans and maintains equipment and work areas to meet hygiene standards.
- May act as Lead III when necessary.
- Assists in the preparation and processing of surimi raw materials.
- Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety training.

Minimum RequirementsRequired Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)
- Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five (5) years' experience, able to operate surimi line and monitor flow.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
- Familiarity with the surimi production process, including the principles of fish deboning, washing, grinding, and forming surimi paste.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices to ensure the production of safe and high‑quality surimi products.
- The ability to conduct precise measurements, perform quality control checks, and follow strict procedures to maintain product consistency and quality.
