The Maintenance Mechanic will operate, repair, and maintain a variety of machinery and mechanical equipment, including engines, motors, pneumatic and conveyor systems, gears, hydraulics, and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance per schedule and direction.
- Locate sources of problems by observing, listening, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Lubricate and clean parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Use hand and power tools safely.
- Learn and follow all safety procedures and Trident Protocols.
- Acquire knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training and performing designated work activities in accordance with procedures and work instructions.
- Notify designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety training.

Minimum Qualifications- Basic knowledge and proficiency with tools and equipment, and a minimum of three months of related experience or training.
- Troubleshooting mechanical/electrical experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to supervisors and other employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, risk of electrical shock, vibration, and loud noise.
Physical DemandsRegular standing, walking, hand use, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing; occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing; frequently lifting up to 25 lb., occasionally lifting up to 50 lb.; vision requirements include distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
