Location: Akutan
Trident Seafoods - - Responsibilities:
Operate sewage treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment in the wastewater treatment plant;
Monitor control panels and adjust valves/gates to regulate flow;
Read pH levels and add chemicals as needed;
Start/stop pumps to control flow through filtration, settling, aeration, and digestion;
Maintain operations logs and record meter readings;
Collect sewage samples and conduct laboratory tests;
Possess basic lab knowledge for compliance paperwork;
Rebuild small pumps for sewage in WWTP;
Maintain, operate, and clean all seven wastewater plants;
Be willing to obtain a small system water license for drinking water;
Notify designated personnel of equipment/safety incidents as per policy
