Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating press brake machines and a solid understanding of metal fabrication processes. This position requires strong technical skills, precision, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate CNC press brake machinery to bend and form metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine appropriate machine settings and fabrication methods.
- Select and install appropriate tooling for each job, ensuring accuracy during set-up and changeovers.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, protractors, tape measures, and squares to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Make minor machine adjustments as needed and troubleshoot basic mechanical or programming issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety standards at all times.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records of work completed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have experience operating CNC press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and shop drawings.
- Strong understanding of tooling, bend allowances, and metal characteristics.
- Ability to perform accurate measurements and basic mathematical calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work overtime when necessary.

Physical Requirements:
- Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
- Able to wear required PPE such as eye protection.
