Department BioThe GW Investment Institute is focused on education as well as research and development. The institute serves as a link to industry and industry professionals, and is a platform where our alumni and friends connect. We teach students how to invest and how to think about investing. Our lab is the capital markets, where our students serve as our analysts and portfolio managers;
they manage our approximately $12.9 million in university endowment funds. We teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, and cover topics such as equities, real estate, venture capital, and quantitative investing.
The GW Investment Institute is seeking a Student Communications Assistant to support its communications and digital content efforts. Responsibilities may include creating social media content, supporting blog and podcast publishing, developing graphics and videos, assisting with reports, and tracking digital engagement.
Standard Position DescriptionThe student will provide basic support with print, web, social media, and/or other digital content. Tasks may include: posting and updating website pages and social media accounts; create written communications and/or newsletters, assist with graphic and/or video editing. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental/faculty needs.
