Summary/Objective

The Partnership Officeradvancesthe Foundation’s efforts by supporting the building and maintenance of relationships with philanthropic, nonprofit, public, and private-sector partners. Working closely with internalgroupsand leadership, this role helpsidentifypartnership opportunities, supports strategic engagement with peer and funding organizations, and coordinates activities that enhance the Foundation’s presence within the philanthropic sector. The positionprovidesgrantmaking recommendations, manages organizational memberships, andis responsible forconvenings that further the Foundation’s mission. This role works as part of the Foundation team, is dedicated to collaboration, uplifting grant recipients, and is rooted in kindness, respect, grace, and humility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supports the Foundation in building and sustaining relationships with external organizations by proactively engaging with key philanthropic organizations that fund, or may fund,in Alaska, are thought/peer partners, or strategic partners within Alaska.
  • Performs grantmaking activities, including reviewing and analyzing proposals, writing funding recommendations for presentation to Foundation leadership.
  • Manages the Foundation’s memberships, including preparing annual membership recommendations, overseeing the membership budget, processing payments, and coordinating staff access and utilization.
  • Leads projects and contracts, as assigned.
  • Manages partnership aspects ofgrantmakingtours, andsupportsexecutiveandgrantmakingtravel for conferences, incorporating the Foundation’s approach to partnerships to build and sustain strong relationships across the philanthropic sector.
  • Supports strong relationships with partner organizations by coordinating responses andfacilitatingresolution of issuesas needed.
  • Providesadditionalpartner engagement and coordination support, including, but not limited to,invitations, serving as apointperson for surveys, invitations,and correspondence,and supporting partner recognition efforts.
  • Manages foundation convenings,includingoverseeingthescope of work and supporting executives toaccomplishtheconveningobjectives.
  • Implementsa partnership plan, including continuous improvement efforts.
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion on matters of significance involving grantmaking,membership, and external relations.
Qualifications
  • Alignment with the Foundation's mission and vision.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing projects,partnerships,convenings, and eventsfor an organization.
  • Knowledge and experience in the philanthropy sector, non-profits, government, and tribal sectors in Alaska, preferred.
  • Experience evaluating and managing grants,preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability tosynthesizeinformation.
  • Experience managing projects and budgets.
  • Occasional travel maybe necessary.
Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred. Experience can substitute.

  • Pay Range:$96,750 - $161,250
