Job Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assists with daily clinical activities under the supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner, providing primary care services. The role requires modeling appropriate behavior aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with established patient‑care guidelines and maintain clinic policies, procedures and objectives, while respecting patient rights and confidentiality.
  • Accurately obtain, organize and record patient data; update all patient records after receiving information from physicians, nurse practitioners and laboratory results.
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with procedures as needed.
  • Perform day‑to‑day clinical operations under supervision and help maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Adhere to communication policies concerning age‑specific populations and maintain clear, professional interactions.
Requirements

Education / Training: Technical Degree or Diploma in Nursing – LPN (required).

Work Experience: No prior work experience required.

Licenses and

Certifications:

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT – American Heart Association;
Licensed Practical Nurse – Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee.

Physical Demands
  • Activities may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion; occasional exertion up to 50 lbs and frequent exertion up to 25 lbs.
  • Requires good balance, coordination, and close visual acuity to assess patients, prepare and analyze data, and view computer terminals.
  • Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact, exposure to body fluids, and hazardous or poisonous materials.
  • Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
