Student Conservation Association is seeking a field position in Katmai National Park, King Salmon, AK to assist biologists with inventory, monitoring, and control of invasive terrestrial plants. You will work independently and with a small field crew, including overnight travel and camping in remote areas.
Responsibilities include identifying plants, removing invasives with hand pulling and trained herbicide use, and precise data recording. Training provided for travel protocols and bear safety.
