The Project Quality Manager will be responsible for leading the site quality program and ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with project requirements, company procedures, and applicable codes and standards.
- Manage the project quality program for HRSG construction activities.
- Develop and implement project quality plans, ITPs, procedures, specifications, and code requirements.
- Oversee welding quality control activities, including WPS/PQR compliance, welder qualifications, weld mapping, and weld documentation.
- Coordinate inspection activities for structural, piping, pressure parts, mechanical, and related construction work.
- Work closely with Authorized Inspectors, customer representatives, engineering, construction management, and subcontractors.
- Ensure required NDE is properly planned, performed, documented, and accepted.
- Monitor compliance with ASME, NBIC, AWS, project specifications, and customer quality requirements.
- Review and manage NCRs, corrective actions, and quality-related deficiencies.
- Support turnover package development, system completion, and final documentation.
- Perform quality audits, surveillances, and field inspections as needed.
- Provide leadership and guidance to site QC personnel.
- Help maintain a strong quality culture focused on prevention, compliance, documentation accuracy, and timely issue resolution.
- Experience as a Quality Manager, Project Quality Manager, QC Manager, or Senior Quality Representative on power generation or heavy industrial construction projects.
- HRSG construction experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of ASME Section I, ASME Section IX, B31.1, NBIC, AWS D1.1, and applicable project specifications.
- Experience with pressure parts, piping, structural steel, welding, NDE, PWHT, hydrostatic testing, and turnover documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, welding procedures, inspection test plans, and code requirements.
- Experience working directly with Authorized Inspectors and customer quality representatives.
- Strong communication, leadership, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- AWS CWI certification preferred.
- Additional certifications such as NDE Level II/III, ASNT, API, AISC, or quality auditor experience are a plus.
