We have an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer committed to customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Quality Director, you are an integral part of the team responsible for implementation and ongoing support of our quality systems. As a Tier 1 automotive supplier, compliance to the ISO 9001/TS 16949 and IATF 16949 Quality Standards is number one priority. The successful candidate is a problem‑solver who will work directly with our customers to resolve production quality issues.

• Develop and maintain quality standards and procedures to satisfy company and customer requirements.
• Responsible for the corrective action system and development of corrective actions using 8‑D, 5‑Why, and other problem‑solving tools, ensuring timely response to internal and external customers.
• Serve as the main contact with customers regarding quality‑related activities and issues.
• Prepare and ensure the accuracy of PPAP submissions to customers.
• Participate in ISO / TS 16949 and IATF 16949 internal and external audits.
• Facilitate continual improvement activities.
• Develop and update control plans as required.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of PFMEAs and process flow diagrams.
• Support supplier evaluation and development activities as required.
• Work with project engineers on new project development, providing assistance in accordance with ISO guidelines.
• Develop new inspection instructions and measurement methods for new jobs.
• Perform statistical capability studies and develop statistical monitoring as required.
• Evaluate process robustness and employ GD&T techniques.
• Establish gauging requirements.
• Attend new project review meetings as needed.
• Perform general quality planning according to procedures.
• Assist with pre‑production meetings, communicating quality‑related issues to production employees.
• Provide recommendations for the disposition of nonconforming material.
• Support the entire quality system per established standards and customer & regulatory requirements.
• Report and analyze company quality metrics and support efforts to improve quality performance.
• Direct the Quality Engineer Supervisor and Quality Lab Analyst, providing guidance and on‑the‑job training.

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the automotive industry strongly desired.
• Participation in the implementation or maintenance of an ISO 9001:2000 or a quality system strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 quality standards helpful.
• Plastics industry experience a plus.
• Previous job experience working directly with customers on quality‑related issues.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem‑solving and follow‑up skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as a team player in a diverse work group.
• Proficient with computer systems, including MS Office.
