Leasing Consultant

A Leasing Consultant’s primary role is to attract and screen potential tenants, provide information about available properties, negotiate lease terms, and ensure a smooth leasing process. The consultant works closely with the property manager and team members to achieve leasing goals and maintain property standards.

• Attract and screen prospective tenants and maintain high occupancy rates.
• Promote and market available properties, conduct property tours, and respond to inquiries via in‑person, phone, and email.
• Prepare lease paperwork, manage the leasing process, and assist future residents with a smooth move‑in.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with current residents.
• Submit weekly, monthly, and special reports and assist with resident functions as directed.
• Uphold ethical standards, fair housing regulations, and company policies in all leasing activities.
• Attend property marketing events, outreach programs, and promotional activities to maximize visibility.

• Valid driver’s license.
• 1+ year of sales or leasing experience strongly preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Strong negotiating and sales abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, email, and social media marketing.
• Knowledge of property management software (e.g., One Site, Yardi, Real Page, Knock, Rent Cafe, Resman).
• Understanding of business practices and principles.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, work under stress, and respect confidentiality.
• Independent and collaborative work style.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
