Retail Sales Manager - On Base (Ft. Wainwright, AK)

US Patriot is seeking a Full Time Retail Sales Manager to match soldiers and airmen to the best brands in the business including Nike, Oakley, and Under Armour. We have over 105 retail locations and multiple web portals to take care of our customers’ tactical gear needs.

- Manage the daily operations of a US Patriot store, including the supervision of all store employees.
- Schedule all employees efficiently while considering each subordinate’s requests for hours.
- Provide sales, product, and POS training, shelf facing and stocking, and inventory management.
- Ensure products are fully stocked, correctly tagged, properly faced, and in the correct category.
- Develop a sales plan to meet the store’s sales obligations.
- Suggest related items to customers (e.g., holster purchases).
- Encourage employee performance with sales goals and store goal plans.
- Hire and terminate employees based on the company’s hiring process.
- Ensure customers have an outstanding, pleasant shopping experience.
- Communicate new item requests to District Manager and Planner for prompt new item introduction.
- Accurately receive all deliveries of merchandise to the store timely and accurately.
- Maintain goods in stock to sell; check inventory frequently.
- Complete accurate, timely paperwork and reports.
- Model safety standards and report accidents promptly.
- Demonstrate good judgment and respect for the position with the Company, co‑workers, AAFES Staff, Clients, and Customers.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three years of previous experience with retail management preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem analysis, decision making.
- Financial and quantitative analysis preferred.
- Demonstrate ability to manage a sales team to achieve company sales goals.
- Proven ability to motivate and coach others.
- Ability to continuously move around all areas of the store on a daily basis.
- Ability to work flexible shift hours 7 days a week.
