Overview
The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions, is recruiting for a Maintenance Specialist, Building/Facility/Construction, Journey 2/Lead, for Goose Creek Correctional Center (GCCC), located in Mackenzie Point, Alaska.

What you will be doing- Service, clean, and repair gas fired burners, HVAC equipment, ventilation system, refrigeration equipment, freezers, compressors, and water heaters.
- Conduct routine and non-routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on all HVAC equipment, ventilation system, refrigeration equipment, freezers, compressors, and water heaters.
- Obtain quotes and advise supervisor for ordering purposes when parts are needed; assure parts are readily available when needed.

Goose Creek Correctional Center is a minimum/medium custody facility that houses up to 1500 inmates and employs over 350 staff. You will be working with other staff and inmates daily.
