About this PositionTemporary Residential Maintenance Technician Role in Military Housing (June through August). Job SummaryThe residential Maintenance Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains the physical condition and appearance of residential properties and other Mayroad assets, including pools, community centers, playgrounds, ice rinks, dog parks, community gardens, and other facilities. Duties cover structural, paint, plumbing, hydronic heating, pressure washing, cleaning, electrical, and other maintenance tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications- High school graduate or GED; may be offset by experience.
- At least 3+ years of residential maintenance experience in carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical. Hydronic or boiler heating experience preferred.
- Familiar with basic tools: carpentry tools, plumbing tools, electrical tools, power tools, saws, drills, hammers, etc.
- Basic computer and phone skills, including computer‑based training and time‑keeping.
- Will be required to use a personal smartphone and personal vehicle for on‑the‑job communication and transportation.
- REAL‑ driver’s license (Travel ) valid and unrestricted, or unrestricted driver’s license with birth certificate and Social Security card.
- Ability to pass a state and federal background check to obtain access to the installation and a 12‑panel pre‑employment drug test.
Requires lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, climbing, lifting, carrying, balancing, reaching, grasping, handling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Work EnvironmentThe position involves working in a non‑climate regulated environment with exposure to extreme heat/cold, temperature changes, noise up to 85 decibels, hazardous materials, power tools, water, industrial hazards, electric shock, ice, slipping hazards, heights, and falling hazards. Limited daily time is spent in an office environment.

Salary Information$27.69 – $35.50 hourly wage.
