Field Repair Technician Uniontown, OH

Hometown Roofing & Construction is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Field Service Technician to support our Production Department and help maintain the high standards our customers expect. The ideal candidate for this position takes pride in solving problems, communicating professionally with homeowners, and delivering quality workmanship.

Qualifications

Roofing, siding, gutter, or exterior construction experience preferred
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and quality
Basic understanding of residential construction practices
Ability to safely use ladders and roofing equipment
Ability to lift and carry construction materials and equipment
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Experience with customer-facing service work
Basic technology skills for documenting repairs and uploading photos
English/Spanish proficiency is a plus!

Responsibilities

Perform roofing repairs on asphalt, cedar, synthetic, and specialty roofing systems
Complete siding, gutter, trim, flashing, and exterior repair work
Diagnose leaks and identify root causes of exterior building issues
Complete warranty service requests and customer punch-list items
Perform minor carpentry and exterior maintenance tasks as needed
Identify opportunities for preventative maintenance or additional repairs
Assist with material issues or shortages during active projects
Provide direction and technical assistance to crews
Document field findings with photos and written notes
Verify installations and repairs meet company quality standards
Facilitate job related material inventory and returns as needed
Communicate professionally with homeowners and property managers
Explain repair findings and completed work clearly
Maintain a positive customer experience during service visits
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
Follow all company safety procedures
Assist with inventory and material organization when needed
Ensure jobsites remain clean and professional
