Milton Hershey School (MHS) is one of the world's premier pre‑K through 12th grade private schools, dedicated to providing a career‑focused cost‑free education and housing to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Key Responsibilities- Receive and coordinate incoming calls and service requests
- Monitor fire, mechanical, and security alarms
- Dispatch Campus Safety Officers and Service Technicians
- Operate as the central hub for phone and 2‑way radio communications
- Respond during school closures and emergencies.
Work schedule:
2nd shift, Wednesday – Saturday, 1:30 pm – 12:00 am.
Compensation:
Hourly pay rate: $22.33 – $29.81, pay is determined based on experience, plus a benefits package.
The position will close for applications on 12/31/25.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working with security alarm systems and surveillance equipment.
- APCO Telecommunicator I, APCO Law Enforcement Dispatch, APCO Medical Dispatch training, preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IBM platforms.
- Experience with a Total Quality Management System, a plus.
- Experience handling service requests, complaints, and issues/problems.
- Strong customer service and telephone dispatching skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS staff are role models for the students.
- Engagement with students beyond the scope of their job responsibilities.
