• Case management, advocacy, and service coordination for families involved in child welfare proceedings
• Ensure compliance with court orders
• Facilitate access to culturally appropriate resources
  
  Offer vital family support
• Act as a liaison between families, service providers, legal entities, and external agencies, advocating for Tribal families within both Tribal and state legal systems

• 2 to 3 years of experience is preferred. We are willing to provide training for CNV citizens.
• A bachelor’s degree in social work, or a related field is preferred, but can be substituted with two additional years of relevant experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and leadership skills; including the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain cooperative relationships and work successfully as a member of a team.
• Excellent time management, problem-solving and organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet sometimes competing deadlines while working independently and with others.
• Superb verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.

• A valid Alaska Driver’s license and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy is a requirement of this position.

• This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.

• As allowed in P.L. 93-638, preference for employment will be given to Alaska Native and American Indian peoples.
• CVTC also applies family and local hiring preferences.
