Mental Health Clinician ; Sex Offender Treatment Provider, PCN

Job Description

The Department of Corrections, Division of Health & Rehabilitation Services, is recruiting for a Mental Health Clinician 3 position at the Palmer Central Center (PCC) located in Sutton, Alaska.

Under the supervision of the Sex Offender Management Program Criminal Justice Planner, this position will:

• Provide sex offender treatment for individuals convicted of a sex offense assigned to Sex Offender Management Program (SOMP), following department-approved curriculum and in accordance with department standards.
• Perform ongoing assessments of individuals’ amenability, motivation, risk, and progress.
• Consult and coordinate with institution staff, probation/parole staff, and the Criminal Justice Planner as part of a multidisciplinary team regarding the progress of the offenders in treatment and give input about management strategies.

Located at the Palmer Correctional Center, a secure facility for incarcerated male individuals. Will work closely with a team of probation officers, correctional officers, mental health clinicians, the SOMP Criminal Justice Planner and polygraph examiners.
