We are currently looking for Full-Time Drivers to join the Glacier Valley Transit team in beautiful Girdwood, Alaska!

• Drives bus over an assigned route.
• Checks bus operating systems to ensure operating safety and for maintaining a good rapport with the passengers served.
• Examines bus to insure its proper mechanical operation, including review of all safety features.
• Reports any dangerous conditions that could jeopardize the safety of the passenger or other members of the public.
• Collects bus fares and answers passengers' questions in a professional and congenial manner.
• Maintains contact with the Operations Manager and reports current position and conditions affecting the operation of the route as required.

• Staring Wage:
  From $20 per hour

• Must be age 21 or older with a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Must submit to and pass a DOT physical at employer’s expense.
• Position is subject to FTA pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
