Job Description
Reporting directly to the Chief Pilot, the PIC is responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of assigned flights in accordance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), company policies, standard operating procedures, and operational requirements. The PIC serves as the final authority for the aircraft and is accountable for ensuring the safety of passengers, crew, and equipment while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive aviation knowledge, strong leadership and crew resource management skills, exceptional judgment, and the ability to make sound decisions in dynamic and high-pressure environments. A commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service is essential for success in this role.
This position shall be assigned to a Qavvik Air Operations Base, however the company reserves the right to change this assignment at any time for business or operational need.
ResponsibilitiesCarry out all duties and responsibilities outlined in the Operations Manual, ensuring strict adherence to operational procedures.
Ensure the safe and efficient conduct of the flight
Maintain a professional appearance and ensure proper attire of oneself and the
Flight Planning and Information:
Plan the flight, gathering all relevant information such as the route, weather conditions, destination, and alternate airports, NOTAMS, passenger and load information.
Review operational procedures and special
Prepare or delegate the completion and filing of the Flight
Prepare a company Risk Assessment Form prior to each flight
Pre-Flight Checks and Documentation:
Ensure all required paperwork is on board the
Conduct pre-flight inspections and verify that all maintenance items have been properly addressed and signed off by authorized maintenance personnel.
Confirm that all inspections are current and that the flight can be completed without any pending maintenance or Airworthiness Directives (ADs).
Weight and Balance Considerations:
Ensure proper fueling and de-icing if required of the

Flight and Maintenance Log:
Keep accurate records in the aircraft's Flight and Maintenance Log, including flight and block times, trend monitoring, cycles, VOR checks, and maintenance write-ups or notations as necessary.

Ensure proper deplaning of passengers and unloading of cargo at their respective

Meet the minimum qualifications as specified in Federal Aviation Regulations Part 243 and 135.297
Must hold at least a Commercial Pilot certificate with appropriate category and class ratings and, an Instrument rating.
Has had at least 2,500 hours of flight time as a pilot, including 500 hours of cross-country flight time, 500 hours of night flight time, and 500 hours of actual IFR (Requirement for IFR).
