We are seeking a skilled and proactive Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our production equipment, including complex systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Laser experience is a significant bonus.

- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and perform corrective maintenance on complex production systems to minimize downtime and maximize operational availability.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Apply a systematic approach to troubleshoot and diagnose off-normal conditions in mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- System Repairs & Alterations: Conduct hands-on repairs, component replacements, and system upgrades on one-of-a-kind equipment, ensuring strict adherence to technical specifications and safety protocols.
- Documentation & Record Keeping: Meticulously log all maintenance actions, system performance data, and component history, maintaining a detailed and accurate record for turnover and engineering review.
- Safety & Compliance: Uphold a culture of safety and procedural compliance, ensuring all work is conducted in accordance with established protocols and regulations. Take ownership of the safe operational condition of assigned equipment.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with pumps, valves, compressors, and fluid systems OR strong electrical aptitude with power distribution, control systems, and electronics.
- Problem-Solving
Skills:
Ability to operate effectively under pressure, logically diagnose equipment casualties, and take decisive action to restore operation. - Technical Documentation: Proven ability to read, interpret, and work from complex schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Operations & Maintenance
Experience:
Experience gained as a qualified operator or maintenance technician in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment is highly desired. - Education & Bonus
Skills:
A technical degree or certification is a plus.
Experience with
lasers, vacuum systems, or high-pressure systems is a significant bonus. Completion of the Naval Nuclear Power School, Prototype, and a sea tour serves as an exceptional equivalent to formal education.
$34 - $48 an hour
