We're hiring a Senior Grants & Contracts Accountant to support a respected higher education institution in Albany, GA. If you enjoy grant accounting, compliance, reconciliations, and building financial reports that stand up to audits, this is an opportunity to make an impact.

Reconcile grant and contract accounts from award through close-out

Monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with federal, state, university, and nonprofit funding requirements

Prepare accurate financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation

Review grant activity, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues before they become audit findings

Collaborate with finance, budgeting, and departmental teams to maintain accurate reporting

Support internal and external audits related to grants and sponsored programs

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

3–5 years of accounting, budgeting, grants, or financial reporting experience

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines

Higher education accounting experience

Grant or sponsored project accounting

Government or nonprofit fund accounting

Experience with
People Soft or OneUSG
