Accountant
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations for a busy multi-venue operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting work, can manage competing priorities, and is comfortable supporting internal controls and financial processes.
Why This RoleThis position offers the opportunity to take ownership of daily accounting functions while working closely with finance leadership. The Accountant will help keep accounting operations running smoothly, support reporting and compliance, and contribute to accurate financial management across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities- Support day-to-day, month-end, and year-end accounting operations.
- Assist with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial documentation.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoices, deposits, receipts, and expense reports.
- Review daily cash activity, checks, deposits, and disbursements.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with accurate financial reporting.
- Support internal controls, accounting procedures, and audit preparation as needed.
- Assist with event-related financial activity, including settlement support, financial documentation, and income/loss reporting.
- Help maintain compliance with financial policies, procedures, contracts, and applicable regulations.
- Partner with finance leadership on budgeting, purchasing, payroll, and other accounting-related priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or a related field required.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience preferred; venue, arena, convention center, hospitality, or event-related accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with accounting systems such as Net Suite and Coupa preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work with all levels of management.
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays based on business needs.
- Prior supervisory experience is helpful but not required.
Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On-site availability is preferred, though hybrid flexibility may be considered for the right candidate.
Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 annually, based on experience.
