Job SummaryThe Administrative Assistant for the Albany State University Center for Blockchain Innovation and Emerging Technology will provide comprehensive administrative support and coordination to the Project Coordinator in the development, implementation, and delivery of a diverse shared service portfolio of activities across the University. This part‑time, grant‑funded temporary position will not exceed three months and sponsor ships are not available.
Responsibilities- Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and handle correspondence for the Project Coordinator.
- Coordinate preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and files for the Center’s operations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies, frameworks, and operational plans.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and compile data, ensuring accuracy and timelines.
- Assist in coordinating and managing operational activities within the Center.
- Monitor and track project progress, ensuring adherence to timeliness and deadlines.
- Conduct research, gather information, and provide analysis to support operational decision‑making.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements and workflow optimization.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend solutions for increased productivity.
- Provide guidance, training, and supervision to student assistants and other support staff.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure completion of assigned responsibilities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support staff development.
- Coordinate work schedules and manage time‑off requests for staff.
- Associate’s degree in business administration or related field.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in an office environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
$9,000 for the three‑month duration, structured as a part‑time role.
