Essential Attributes:

  • Work cooperatively with other employees of the work unit and embrace a teamwork approach to completing tasks.
Essential Tasks:
  • Provide accurate, compassionate service to all customers and colleagues, whether in person, over the phone, or by email.
  • Accurately perform data entry and scanning to maintain records within multiple software programs to support seamless delivery of departmental services.
  • Build and process new cases and complete required process work.
  • Create child support and alimony depository accounts, make financial adjustments/modifications directed in judicial orders and clerk action requests from the Department of Revenue.
  • Learn and understand multiple applications related to the position.
  • Research information in multiple databases to provide customers with accurate information.
  • Cashier and process child support and alimony payments as well as balance and reconcile cash, checks, and credit cards with daily reports.
  • Process the daily SDU Lockbox, payment redirects and intercepts for disbursement of support payments.
  • Scan, index, and process eFiled documents and update cases accordingly
  • Process writ of bodily attachment withdrawals, lien notices and satisfactions, and driver’s license suspensions according to procedure/instruction.
  • Explain payment and assessment history to customers, judicial staff, and government agencies.
  • Ability to meet production standards while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Pickup, sort, and deliver mail.
  • Prepare and process subsequent filings.
  • Fulfill records requests.
  • Provide backup to the front counter as needed.
  • Timely and accurately respond to all Automated Random Moments (ARMARS)
  • Maintain confidentiality of information learned or acquired as part of the position.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Adapt to a flexible schedule, and work overtime, as needed.
  • Perform other related work as required or assigned.
Minimum Skills /

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited high school or possess an acceptable equivalency diploma.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with departmental teams and external agencies to prioritize workflows, organize tasks, and manage competing demands to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and write routine correspondence and reports.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to accurately type 35 WPM.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail and remain calm in an anxious, intense situation.
