Dougherty County Public Works is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator II to operate heavy equipment and trucks for grounds, buildings, and road maintenance. Responsibilities include operating backhoes and bulldozers, loading and packing dirt, and constructing roads with crew members.
The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and two years of heavy equipment experience, plus a valid state CDL. Work is performed under supervision with opportunities to perform maintenance on machinery.
