Construction Inspector

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects adhere to regulatory standards, specifications, and quality requirements. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a crucial role in monitoring construction activities, conducting inspections, reviewing submittals and pay requests, and providing feedback to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site inspections to assess construction progress and compliance with Construction Documents, building codes, and regulations.
- Review construction plans, specifications, and documents to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and report any deviations from approved plans or specifications and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of construction activities and findings.
- Review submittals, pay requests, requests for information (RFI's), change orders, closeout documents, and other documentation during the construction phase.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise and guidance as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred or extensive experience in the commercial construction field.
- Previous experience in construction inspection or related field.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
- A positive attitude, be a team-player, take initiative, and be detail-oriented.
