Travel Superintendent

REPORTS TO: Director of Field Operations / Project Executive

The Traveling Superintendent is a key leader within Structor Group’s commercial construction team, responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with Structor Group’s quality standards. This position requires extensive travel to project sites throughout the Southeast and other locations based on project needs. The Traveling Superintendent will provide on-site leadership, coordinate subcontractors and field personnel, drive the project schedule, and work closely with Project Managers and clients to ensure successful project execution.

This role will have a strong focus on commercial and healthcare construction, including renovations and construction within active and occupied healthcare environments.

• Provide daily on-site leadership and oversight of assigned commercial and healthcare construction projects.
• Plan and implement project-specific site logistics.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractor activities and field operations.
• Drive the overall project schedule and proactively identify and resolve potential delays.
• Develop and distribute three-week look-ahead schedules to subcontractors and the Project Manager.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, deliveries, inspections, and site access.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and upload project photographs and documentation to Procore
  .
• Conduct regular subcontractor coordination meetings and weekly toolbox talks with on-site personnel.
• Ensure required permits, notices, and signage are properly posted and maintained.
• Coordinate and manage required building inspections.
• Maintain overall quality control throughout the construction process.
• Identify field issues and coordinate with the Project Manager, design team, and subcontractors to develop timely solutions.
• Enforce Structor Group safety policies and ensure compliance with applicable OSHA requirements, PPE standards, and jobsite safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
• Maintain Structor Group tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and proper working condition.
• Coordinate punch list activities and ensure all items are completed in a timely manner.
• Support project turnover and closeout activities.
• Coordinate construction activities within active and occupied healthcare environments, including infection-control measures, ICRA requirements, ILSM, shutdowns, phasing, temporary barriers, and coordination with healthcare facility personnel, as applicable.
• Maintain professional communication and relationships with clients, facility representatives, subcontractors, inspectors, and project team members.
• Travel to assigned project locations and remain on-site for the duration required by the project.

• 5+ years of commercial construction field supervision experience required.
• Previous experience serving as a Superintendent or similar field leadership role required.
