LocationOur West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job SummaryThis position is responsible for assisting the Writing Center Coordinator and efforts of the Writing Center for Albany State University s East and West Campuses and the online Center environment, while also providing varied guiding support for Writing Center assigned student workers. The unique needs of each student contribute to the complexity of the position. Success in this position contributes to the successful education of students and to compliance with accreditation standards.
This position is funded through grant funding. Continuation of employment is based upon the availability of funds.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities- Knowledge of the field of Writing and English.
- Knowledge of Writing and English tutoring principles.
- Knowledge of learning theory and design.
- Skilled in tutoring.
- Skilled in the operation of computers and job-related software programs.
- Skilled in timely decision-making and problem-solving.
- Skilled in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
- Skilled in oral and written communication.
