Job SummaryThe Part‑Time Psychology Instructor must demonstrate excellence in teaching and have commitment to integrating new technologies in the learning process. The candidate must also have the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower students to succeed. The responsibilities for this position include teaching assigned courses, preparing and delivering lectures in a face‑to‑face and/or online environment, leading and moderating classroom discussions and contributing to the department's activities.
Responsibilities- Deliver lectures, prepare course materials, and facilitate learning experiences for the students in the department.
- Stay current in the developments and advancements in the field of Political Science.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of students grades and attendance.
- Participate in departmental and university activities.
- Follow established expectations and protocols for the department.
Master's Degree in Psychology or related discipline, or Master's Degree with 18 hours of Psychology courses at the graduate level.
College Teaching Experience.
Preferred QualificationsPhD candidates with experience may be considered for upper division courses.
Proposed SalarySalary is based upon per credit hour rate depending upon degree.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to convey ideas clearly.
Experience working with a diverse student population, including first generation students.
Ability to integrate technology into the classroom environment (learning management system, digital tools, and online resources).
Capability to assess and develop students' academic skills.
Conditions of EmploymentAll selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Albany State University.

- a credit check completed for "Positions of Trust" and/or approved departmental purchase card usage
- a motor vehicle report for positions that require driving an Albany State University vehicle
